At Beth-El Farmworker Ministry, our mission goes beyond meeting basic needs—we build relationships, restore dignity, and walk alongside those who feed our nation. This summer, we’re bringing that mission directly to the fields through “Hope on the Move” Days—a new opportunity for volunteers to join us on-site, meet farmworkers face-to-face, and deliver more than just supplies.
Because sometimes, hope is best delivered in person.
Deliver and Listen
Each visit begins with kindness in action—essential items like laundry detergent, paper goods, and culturally familiar food are packed and delivered straight to the fields. But the real impact begins after the delivery. Volunteers sit with farmworkers to hear their stories, listen without judgment, and share in their realities.
It’s not just a transaction—it’s a connection.
Reflection and Share
After each visit, we invite volunteers to reflect on what they’ve witnessed. Whether through journaling, prayer, or conversation, this time helps deepen understanding and allows us to bring those stories back to our churches, families, and communities. When we reflect, we grow. When we share, we plant seeds of change.
Justice in Action
We close each visit with a short group discussion on food justice—how systemic barriers affect the people who harvest our food, and what we can do to advocate for safer conditions and greater equity. This isn’t just about charity—it’s about justice.
Hope grows when we act with purpose.
